OWNER, SENIOR QUICKBOOKS PROADVISOR
Sheila has been an integral part of Capital Bookkeeping since 2004. Before joining CB, she spent seven years at Qwest honing her bookkeeping and accounting expertise. She truly enjoys working with all kinds of people, and seeing new industries and business ideas develop. Sheila and her team strive to be true partners with their clients, knowing everyone learns and benefits from the entrepreneurial mindset, including their “bean counter.” Best advice: “It’s all in the company you keep – including your bookkeeper!”
Lora joined Capital Bookkeeping in 2008. She understands firsthand the challenges of balancing owner responsibilities, and gets satisfaction from helping business owners manage their bookkeeping. Her background includes a degree in Business Management and prior positions at Storage Technology, Jackson Design Build, and United Health Care. A Colorado native, Lora loves spending time with family which includes her dogs and horses, and cooking and camping. Best advice: “Let us do the bookkeeping so you can run your business!”
Karin founded Capital Bookkeeping in 2002, fueled by a desire to help entrepreneurs fulfill their dreams. She believes business owners are more successful when they stay on top of their numbers, and that good, clean bookkeeping is at the heart of solid decision making. Karin studied Journalism at the University of Oregon, Accounting at Metro State University, and passed her CPA exam before opening Capital Bookkeeping. Away from the office, Karin enjoys yoga, hiking, skiing, and cooking. Best advice: “Reconcile, reconcile, reconcile – and then get on with it!”
Lori has been in marketing for over 20 years and loves helping business owners with their marketing. It’s all about what she calls the “Big 3”: Message, Market, and Methods. Businesses have to know their story (message), know who to tell it to (market) and the best ways to tell it (method). Lori has been a member of the Capital Bookkeeping team since 2008, and likes being able to witness the true partnership that forms between clients and advisors. Best advice: “Eat your frog every morning – pick the one thing you dread most and do it first.”
